There are 3 different options of transportation that you can take Sapa tours from Ha Noi
Option 1: Take the limousine sapa tours from Hanoi in the morning or afternoon
Option: 2 Take a train from Ha Noi to Sapa at 9 PM and arrive in Loa Cai at 5:30 -6 AM take a private car or share a Minivan from Loa Cai to Sapa. Loa City is 35km away from Sapa town.
Option: 3 Take a sleep from Ha Noi to Sapa.
There are some cabin sleeping or the normal sleeping bus.
You can choose to book your Sapa tours from Hanoi to Sapa for the sleeping bus. The buses leave at any hour that you want to book, but the last bus from Hanoi to Sapa is at 11 pm.
If you are doing one of our trekking tours overnight Homestay and you don’t plan to stay an extra night in Sapa, we highly recommend that you take the sleeping train from Ha Noi to Loa Cai city, then take a private car or share a minivan with other gust come to sapa. Loa Cai city is 35km away from sapa.
We can help you organise the shared minivan or a private car to pick up you from the Loa Cai transition and drop off you at our office before the tours start. You will arrive at our office at 7 am. Before the tour starts you can still take a free shower from our office.
All our multiple tours or 1-day treks start at 9 am from the office.
When you meet our local guides, they will show you on the map where to trek and it’s very just independent of the weather and your level for the treks.
The trek will be muddy when Sapa rains a few days before you start the Sapa tours. but you can still choose to do an easy walk if the trek is hard.

You and the guide will trek from Sapa to Sa Seng village, and continue trekking up hills to reach Dragon Mountain, from the Dragon mountain if the weather is very clear you will see Fansipan Peak, Sapa town, Y Ly Ho, Lao Chai, Ma Tra and Ta Phin Villages. The Dragon Mountain is one of Sapa 3 mountains which is 1,800 m above sea level. From here if the weather is sunny and if you are lucky enough you will see the clouds from the Muong Hoa Valley only in winter time but it is not cloudy in summer, If the weather is very foggy you will not be able to see anything.
On the top of the dragon mountain, the Hmong ethnic minority group are planning corn crops and some cows or water buffalo living on that mountain.
From Dragon Mountain, we keep continuing the trek to Hang Da Village {with lunch either at Hang Da or Lao Chai villages} Sa Seng and Hang Da villages are mountainous villages Hmong ethnic minority people are living here, and the local people living here are farming.
We will trek down to Loa Chai and Ta van villages these villages have many fantastic rice fields. Loa Chai village has three thousand of the Hmong ethnic minority group living. Ta Van village has the Hmong and Zay ethnic minority people living here. This village is quite popular for homestay for those who are doing two-day treks staying an overnight homestay
The car will pick up us from Ta Va village and return to Sapa.
Muong Hoa villages sapa tours from hanoi
SaPa hiking to Y Linh Ho village {lunch in Lao chai village} then to Ta Van village where a car will return you to SaPa.
Our local guide and you will trek through a small path to Y Ly Ho village. Y Ly Ho and Loa Chai villages have the most beautiful rice fields. You will see some of the Hmong ethnic minority people living in two of these villages.
After lunch we will walk to a local shop from here our local guide will show you how the Hmong ethnic make their traditional clothing and learn about the local daily life. When the local guide finishes showing you how to make the Hmong traditional cloth you will then continue on a walk to Ta Van village. Ta Van village has the Hmong and Zay ethnic minority people living here. This village is quite popular for homestay for those guests who are doing two-day treks staying an overnight homestay here.
Ta van Village is our final trek we will take a car from here to return to Sapa.
